FLOWER POWER

Every year my flowers die.
I get so excited around Mother's Day and buy all the flowers, and then I forget to water them, because I get distracted. Life, busy schedules, summertime fun, dying flowers.
Once July rolls around most of my flowers are dead. Then I'm disappointed. I start questioning what happened. It didn't rain enough. I thought I watered them. But I'm sure I missed a few days or a week. I wasn't consistent that's for sure.
This parallels how we think of our health and fitness. We start off super excited right around January 1st, and then we forget to stay on top of it. A month or two rolls around, and we're upset with what we haven't accomplished. That we aren't any farther along to our goals that we set.
This year my flowers are hanging on. I set a reminder on my Alexa (don't judge) to water flowers every day. Every day she reminds me to water the dang flowers. And every day it prompts me to do what I said I would do. ACCOUNTABILITY.

Don't forget to water your flowers. Make it a daily habit to move your body. Make it a daily habit to hydrate yourself. Make it a daily habit to get enough rest.
The consistency is what makes those flowers thrive. It's not the expensive fertilizer that let my flowers thrive this year. It was the boring, simple watering every single day.
The consistency is what makes your health thrive. You don't need fancy equipment a fancy diet or fancy supplements. You just need to show up for yourself in some way every single day.
You can DO IT.
